Jo McKay is an accomplished hair colour expert with over 30 years in the industry, recognised for her pioneering leadership in Global Hair Colour programs.
As Global Creative Color Manager at OWAY, Jo drove the international launch of HCOLOR, Art directed key campaigns, and delivered technical training and education in salons worldwide. Jo led creative classes and events, while developing strategies to elevate professional hair colour and brand growth.
Previously, Jo specialised in hair colour at Aveda, overseeing colour development in 15 countries across the UK and EMEA, and playing a significant role in the Aveda Global Collections. She expanded Aveda’s reach as Advanced Creative Director at the London Lifestyle Salon & Spa and supported new markets and educator training.
Jo also served as Keune UK Master Colour Ambassador, developing advanced hair colour programs for salons in London and beyond.
Jo’s passion for creative education and collaboration extends to photography, film, and magazine work, as well as bespoke consultancy for salons and individuals. Jo continues to inspire through her expertise in hair colour, supporting artists and teams to achieve exceptional results on stage, in salons, and in creative projects.
